Summary of Board
Commission consist of a 7 member board with five-year term; appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the city council, one registered professional engineer, one electrical license holder who is also an electrical contractor, one journeyman electrician, one representative of Public Utilities, and one member of the Home Builders Association and two members from the general public having no financial interest in the electrical industry in the City. Pursuant to the 1988 City of Springfield Code of Ordinances, Ch 33 Sec 33.002(d) No person shall be appointed to an office for more than three consecutive terms.
