City Code Chapter 102§ 102.10
Summary of Board
The commission shall be composed of ten commissioners. Seven (7) commissioners shall be appointed by the Mayor with the approval and consent of the city council, and shall serve without pay and reside within the corporate limits of the City of Springfield. The remaining three (3) commissioners shall be ex-officio and shall not vote. They will be comprised of Public Works Director, General Manager or Public Utilities (or his/her representative), and the city arborist.
Pursuant to the 1988 City of Springfield Code of Ordinances, Ch 33 Sec 33.002(d) No person shall be appointed to an office for more than three consecutive terms.
